Detroit Lions
betting and odds to win
Jon Kitna little hope
for the Detroit Lions to break the losing streak this football
season.
To
be a fan of the Detroit Lions is a tough call nowadays and
according to the betting trends the team is expected to be one
of the worse football performers the upcoming NFL season. When
the last season the Lions finished 3-13 it was their sixth
football season in a row they lost 10 or more. Some fans are
hoping that the offseason moves could mean a turnaround for the
Detroit Lions, but the betting odds sing a different song.
Quarterback Jon Kitna will have a better
chance to shoot on target, after the Lions signed number 2
overall draft pick Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech. The
offensive line should improve with the newcomers Tatum Bell and
T.J. Duckett, after the Detroit Lions ranked in last place in
run offense last season. The defense is getting a much needed
boost with DE Dewayne White from Tampa Bay and the former Pro
Bowler Shaun Rogers. Still a long way in front of head coach Rod
Marinelli to show that the Lions have improved. The last
exhibition game against the Browns gave a moral boost to the
Lions, after they won the game 23-20. Jon Kitna led the Lions
with a TD pass, while completing 12-of-16 for 137 yards as the
Lions won their second straight preseason matchup. Much hope for
the Detroit fans, who are finally looking forward to the regular
season.
Still, the online bookmakers remained
unimpressed by the two wins and the betting odds on the Detroit
Lions remain one of the highest in the NFL. This is the list of
