New York Jets football betting odds

In the past football seasons New York Jets are gradually improving, how far will they go next?

New York Jets football betting odds The New York Jets have been a football team on the improving side in the past couple of years. In 2005 their record was 4-12, but in 2006 the Jets reached playoff with a record of 10-6. Fans and team alike are optimistic entering the 2007 NFL season. RB Thomas Jones was brought from the Chicago Bears to improve the backfield of the Jets. Quarterback Chad Pennington threw for 3,352 yards and 17 touchdowns last football season and in 2007 will have to focus on his 16 interceptions to improve his 82.6 QB rating.

Offense will have to be improved after scoring only 316 points last football season, ranking them at the low end of the conference. Wild Card this season is not out of the question if Pennington stays healthy and the defense is solid. In their final preseason game,  the New York Jets got past the Philadelphia Eagles with a 13-11 victory, thanks to a game-winning field goal. Kellen Clemens went 2-of-2 for 12 yards passing for New York in the win, while Marques Tuiasosopo threw for 78 yards and ran for a touchdown.

And still, looking at the betting odds on the New York Jets, it lines up to be a mediocre season for the NY AFC team, according to the bookmakers. The online oddsmaker Bodog Sports (new window) offers the following betting odds on the New York Jets for the 2007 football season:
