Online
casinos nervous about US players as major controversies surround
the industry
The recent decision by one
of the top net gambling casinos to exclude US players (as
reported in previous online gambling press releases) is not a
consequence of the anti online casinos gambling moves by the US
Department of Justice, but part of a longstanding policy by the
owners of the online casinos firm, an online casinos company
spokesman told an online casinos news portal this week.
The spokesman said that the decision to close US net gambling
casinos accounts is not a direct response to recent developments
involving one of the top net gambling casinos, but has been the
long standing position of this group of online casinos not to
accept U.S. players. The online casinos firm, now that it is
owned by one of the top online casinos conglomerates, has had to
come into line with this net gambling business decision. "We are
sorry for any inconvenience this causes," the online casinos
firm spokesman said.
The online casinos site is currently a licensee of a top online
casinos gaming software provider. In the near future the online
casinos firm will be joining an updated version of the Poker
Champs platform. Both brands will remain separate but player
liquidity will be shared.
The updated Poker software will maintain the look and feel of
the old online casinos but will incorporate a number of new
features e.g. choice of educational video content, player
profile, player search and map, VIP club, new languages, bigger
cash (ring games).
On the controversial online casinos situation regarding one of
the top British firms and the firing of their chief executive,
the Offshore Wire has published an as yet unconfirmed story that
the group is busy selling off assets such as its motor vehicles
in Costa Rica, and up to a thousand local employees are said to
be deeply concerned about their jobs with the company, which
lost 85 percent of its business through a US judges restraining
order barring access to US players. Reports suggest that many
employees are trying to find alternative positions with other
casinos in Costa Rica.
Still, despite the controversy, net casinos have enjoyed
unbelievable growth on the Internet in recent years, and this
explosive expansion has come with much scrutiny and has created
an incredibly crowded marketplace, as net casinos spring up left
and right. But the current state of the industry is healthy and
ripe with new developments and news. The industry is always
exciting despite mainstream society’s recent reservations.
The latest research on the net gambling industry shows that
there are still substantial growth opportunities in the internet
casinos industry in months and years to come.
The study’s internet casinos growth prediction parallels the
predictions of other highly regarded and dependable surveys and
studies conducted about the industry around the globe. The new
study estimated that worldwide internet casino sites and
gambling revenues were $11 bullion in 2005, up from about $8.5
billion in 2004.
