Pinnacle Sports stops accepting US players

The popular online betting website has officially announced it will stop accepting players from the United States. A message on their website reads that effective on the January 11th 2007, Pinnacle Sports will no longer allow any type of wagers from players who has registered accounts with an US address. Those players will still be able to withdraw any money they may have in their accounts, or balances due. Pinnacle assures that players from Canada and the rest of the world would still be able to place bets.

According to some sources, this move by Pinnacle has been provoked by fears from the US government, and the 40% of international customers would be enough for the online sports book to continue to operate without any major changes.
