Explosion near Las Vegas casino kills one
A backpack exploded early
today in a parking garage attached to the Luxor Casino in Las
Vegas.
The
explosion killed the man who had picked up the backpack and
injured one, the Nevada authorities said. Shortly after 4 a.m. a
man picked up the backpack which he had left atop of his car on
the second floor of the parking lot of the Luxor Hotel and
Casino in Las Vegas, when it exploded, according to the
investigators at the scene.
There is no visible damage to
the structure on the outside, the inside of the casino parking
lot has been blocked off by the police. No further information
has been released at this moment. It is being speculated that
this is most likely a homicide, due to the limited radius of the
explosion.
Luxor casino is famous with
it's pyramid shape and is located on the Las Vegas Strip and it
is owned by the MGM Mirage (NYSE:MGM). The Luxor Hotel and
Casino opened in 1993 with additional twin 22-story towers
