New casino does not bother St. Louis Rams
The Rams don't oppose the new casino which is
being built right next door to the Edward Jones Dome.
Unlike
the Pittsburgh Steelers, which threatened to sue the city if the
new casino in Pittsburgh does not take into consideration the
extensive traffic during game days, the Rams are not concerned
with the casino next door.
Pinnacle Entertainment (NYSE:PNK) is building
the casino with 2,000 slot machines and more than 40 table
games, which will be located right across the Edward Jones Dome
with I70 between them.
According to Rams representative, there are no
objections to the building of the casino at its current location
and they do not expect any traffic problems on game days.
Considering that the President Casino riverboat, which is only
four blocks away from the Dome and also owned by Pinnacle
Entertainment, has shown no impact on the Rams games traffic
whatsoever, the executives of the football team are confident
that the new Pinnacle casino will no be a problem either.
The casino executives are even joking that the
fans may take up parking spaces at the casino, and the casino
should worry about game day traffic, not the other way around.
But they also admit that fans would boost the casino clientele
after Rams games, which would work out well and make for a good
relationship between the casino and the Rams.
