UK Horse Races: Bath, Musselburgh, Newton Abbot
and Windsor on Monday
Quick look at some of the horse races on
Monday 21st on the U.K. tracks, including top contenders and
race card.
We start with the Bath Racecourse in
Lansdown. The first race starts at 2:00 and is the E.B.F./ Dawn
Reed Hen Party Novice Stakes (Cl5). The contenders at this race
are Sauze d'Oulx, Little Pete, Fox's Den, Gillans Inn, Hyper
Viper, Nestor Protector, Replicator, Midnight Fling, and
Waveline. The British bookmaker
Bet365 guarantees the best
betting odds for this and the rest of the horse races.
At 2:10 is the start of the first race at the
Musselburgh, which is the Turf TV Maiden Auction Stakes
(Cl5). Running at this race are Atephobia, Gin Genereux,
Guertino, Countrywide Comet, Secret Asset, Areweplayingout, Rose
Siog and La Guancha. Guertino can make experience count over Gin
Genereux and La Guancha, with Countrywide Comet also worth a
mention. Guertino improved markedly on his second outing when
just touched off by the more experienced Taurian at Hamilton,
and although the form might not turn out to be anything special,
he can put the experience to good use here at least.
The first horse race at Newton Abbot,
the Exquisite Catering Novices' Hurdle (Cl4), starts at 2:20. A
modest event on paper and Learning The Blues is selected ahead
of Quarterback and Forest Silver. The official BHB ratings have
Learning The Blues some way clear of the remainder and if he can
reproduce the form of his victory in a maiden at Uttoxeter, he
is the one they all have to beat. Quarterback won at Stratford
over a similar trip. He did get a little tired in the closing
stages and can ill afford to repeat those jumping errors.
We are closing with the 6:10 first race,
Countryside Alliance E B F Maiden Fillies' Stakes (Cl5), at
Windsor on Monday. Stablemates Don't Tell Anna and May Day
Queen look likely newcomers along with Theeba, however Vixens
Daughter has experience on her side and gets the tentative
nomination today. The selection showed some good pace on her
debut at Thirsk and whilst that wasn't the greatest of contests,
she could have some of these inexperienced horses under the cosh
from some way out. The low draw isn't ideal but it can be
overcome and she looks the one to side with. Shamrock Lady
wasn't beaten far on debut at Warwick and whilst she will need
further in time, she should come on for her recent run.
