AC Milan wins the Champions League 2-1 over
Liverpool
In the most watched football game in the world
so far this year, the Champions League, AC Milan won 2-1 against
Liverpool.
Inzaghi opened the scoreboard at the 45' for
AC-Milan 1-0 Liverpool. Inzaghi was again at the right spot in
the 82nd minute to make the Milan's lead twice as painful to
Liverpool. Kuyt scored for Liverpool at the 89th, but the
English team was not able to take it to a draw at this Champions
League final.
Paolo Maldini became only the second player to
captain his team to two successes in the competition under its
current format. Two players from each team got booked with
yellow cards, but none was sent to the sidelines.
