Tim Cahill to join
Australia for the Asian Cup preparations
The Everton midfielder Tim-Cahill has
announced that he is ready and will be joining the Australia
football team for the Asian Cup.
Cahill has been sidelined after suffered a
broken metatarsal in March, but his rehabilitation has been
going well, and he will be ready to join the Socceroos at the
training camp for their preparations for the Asian Cup. He will
have to be off the field until June 11th, when Cahill goes for
an X-ray, and he will not play for the friendly between
Australia and Uruguay on Saturday.

It was fifth metatarsal break for the
midfielder, and Cahill told Everton that he is astonished and
pleasantly surprised by how fast it has healed. Tim Cahill is
already running as part of his recovery and should join the team
in some of the light exercises in about four days. Tim Cahill
should resume full time training soon and be good to go for the
first Asian Cup game of Australia against Oman on July 8th.
