PartyGaming in talks with USA on Internet gambling

Apparently, PartyGaming (LSE:PRTY) is holding discussions with the US Attorney's Office.

According to the British paper Telegraph, the PartyGaming management is discussing Internet gambling with the USA. Party is in talks to clarify their position after the UIGEA was passed last year.

PartyGaming, headed by chief executive Mitch Garber, said it had initiated discussions and was "voluntarily responding to a request for information" from the New York Attorney's Office.

It said: "It is too early to assess the likelihood of any particular outcome of these discussions."

The Gibraltar-based company declined to comment further on the talks or the request for information.
