Meadows Casino gets the go-ahead for June

Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington County, PA is scheduled to open on June 11th.

The management for the Meadows Casino confirmed today that a temporary casino will be open at the track on June 11th. The temporary casino will house a little over 1,700 slot machines, but this number will reach 3,000 once the permanent casino opens in 2009.

The Pennsylvania Meadows Casino is owned by a subsidiary of Millennium Gaming Inc., a Las Vegas, NV company, which bought the racetrack from Magna Entertainment Corp. in November last year.

The temporary Meadows Casino was originally scheduled to open on Tuesday, but problems with the surveillance equipment postponed the opening for 11th of June.
