Daytime Emmys have
the PBS on a roll
PBS is leading at the
Daytime-Emmys with 13 awards, including the 18th for Bob Barker.
Besides the retired game show host, 6 of the 13 Creative Craft
awards went to the Sesame Street. "The Price is Right" won for
game-audience participation show, where Bob Barker was working
until last week as the executive producer.
In the category for morning shows - a tie
between ABC's "Good Morning America" and NBC's "Today". Paula
Deen from the Food Network won an award for the lifestyle host
during the Daytime Emmy ceremony.
NBC's "The Office: Accountants" won in the
Daytime Emmy comedy category; "It's Jerrytime!" on Ozone Inc.
won in variety, "Cyberchase" on PBS won in children's. Ellen
DeGeneres' talk show took four of the nine Daytime Emmys among
the syndicated shows.
Rosie O'Donnell, who replaced Vieira on ABC's
chatfest "The View" before her recent departure, was nominated
for talk show host Friday night, along with her former
colleagues Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar.
Currently the online betting website
Bodog is offering odds on who
will be named Rosie O'Donnell's permanent replacement on The
View, with Roseanne Barr favorite with odds 5/2.
