Dave Blaney takes the pole for Toyota
Toyota will start from
the pole position for Lenox Industrial Tools 300 after Dave
Blaney won the spot for the Nextel Cup race on Sunday.
The
No. 22 Blaney was the fastest on the track finishing with 29.426
seconds, beating Kurt Busch with 29.484 seconds, who will start
second at New Hampshire International Speedway. This will be the
second time Dave Blaney starts from pole position in his Nextel
Cup career.
Row two will be occupied by Reed
Sorenson and Johnny Sauter. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will start sixth,
Jeff Gordon eighth, Jimmie Johnson tenth and Tony Stewart will
be 14th in line.
The Nextel Cup race on Sunday could
prove great for Toyota fans and bettors. The online bookmaker
Bodog Sports offered 50/1 odds
on Dave Blaney to win the NASCAR race. Tony Steward is the
favorite to win, according to the bookie, with odds 4/1 on the
Lenox Industrial Tools 300, followed by Jeff Gordon and Denny
Hamlin with odds of 5/1 on both.
Lenox Industrial Tools 300 is scheduled
to start at 2:30pm EST on Sunday, July 1st.
