Sherri Shepherd
and Whoopi Goldberg could join "The View"
The latest reports point
towards Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd as regular hosts on
The View.
According
to the Los Angeles Times, the ABC show "The View" is about to
close the deal with Sherri Shepherd and Whoopi Goldberg as the
new hosts. The View has been searching for regular replacements
of Rosie O'Donnell and the latest reports indicate that Shepherd
and Goldberg may take the job.
Whoopi Goldberg would give The View a big name to replace
O'Donnell, and her versatile career would ensure that feuds
would not occur during the show. Sherri Shepherd has appeared on
The View more than dozen times, five times in July alone, a
clear indicator that the producers are seriously considering the
40-years-old actress.
The two stars would also give The View an
ethnic diversity, which was lost after Star Jones Reynolds left
the daytime show.
The online betting site
Bodog Sports offered odds on
the replacement of Rosie O'Donnell. Unfortunately, neither
Whoopi Goldberg nor Sherri Shepherd were listed as contenders,
and the bet on the next View host would be a bust, if either of
them gets the job.
