Powerball winner
bought ticket in Indiana
The lucky winner of the "Powerball"
$314 million bought the ticket in the state of Indiana.
Hoosier
Lottery spokesman announced that the Powerball winner bought the
ticket from a gas station in Richmond, Indiana. The lucky ticket
was sold at a Speedway gas station and would bring its owner
$314 million, close to the record jackpot of $350 million. The
winner of the Powerball has yet to come forward to claim the
prize. Powerball is played in 29 states across the country,
Washington and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The winning numbers drawn on Saturday
were 2-8-23-29-25 and the powerball was 19. After a winner was
confirmed, the Powerball jackpot was reset on Saturday to $15
million. Over 2,5 million tickets won a prize after the numbers
were picked last night.
Meanwhile another huge lottery jackpot
remains untouched. The "Mega Millions" numbers on Friday picked
no winner and the jackpot has climbed up now to a cool $250
million for the August 28th drawing. A dozen tickets however won
the second prize of a quarter million dollars.
