Cleveland Browns
CB Leigh Bodden arrested
Leigh Bodden, cornerback for
the Cleveland Browns was arrested at an airport on Wednesday.
The
cornerback of the Cleveland Browns Leigh Bodden was arrested on
Wednesday at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Apparently
Bodden was driving his SUV in reverse down a one-way street just
outside of the airport. He initially refused to stop the vehicle
when approached by an officer and went on to enter the airport.
According to the police, Booden was there to "pick up his
people" and became verbally abusive when the cop caught up to
him at the airport. Back up was called, but the Browns football
player began to resist officers trying to place handcuffs on
him.

When things calmed down, Leigh Bodden
was taken to the county jail where he spent the night, charged
with aggravated disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Traffic
charges are pending as well, for failing to produce a driving
license and driving the wrong way on one-way street. A court
hearing for Leigh Bodden was scheduled for Thursday morning.
Leigh Bodden was drafted by the
Cleveland Browns in 2003 from Duquesne University and received a
four-year contract extension in 2005 after his great performance
with the Browns. Unfortunately for the cornerback and the team,
he spent most of the 2006 football season on the sidelines
battling injuries and took part in only 9 games for the
Cleveland Browns.
