Washington Redskins: 2007 betting odds and lines

Washington Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs confident in quarterback Jason Campbell, defense must improve this football season.

Washington Redskins: 2007 betting odds and lines Jason Campbell was a good replacement for the aging Mark Brunell and head coach Joe Gibbs showed more confidence in the young quarterback as the last season went on. Cambell, although not quite a star yet, has the material and will only improve from now on, as he gathers experience. Targets for the QB are plenty with TE Chris Cooley, Antwann Randle El and Santana Moss. With an offensive ranking 13th in the league the Washington Redskins should be good to go for this season. A quieter than usual offseason for the Washington Redskins, who are in desperate defensive repair, following their 31st overall D-rank in the league last football season. MLB London Fletcher, CB Fred Smooth and S La Ron Landry are expected to have a positive impact on the Redskins.

In the preseason, the Washington Redskins lost 31-14 preseason victory to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jason Campbell was a perfect 5-for-5 for 54 yards in limited playing time for the Redskins, with one TD strike. Antwaan Randle El had a catch in the end zone for Washington. The Redskins also lost 12-10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brandon Lloyd took a 7-yard pass from Todd Collins for the Redskins only touchdown in the loss. But Dallas Sartz returned an interception three yards for a score in the third quarter just before the rain started to fall, lifting the Washington Redskins to a 13-7 win over the Baltimore Ravens at FedEx Field in a shortened game. Todd Collins was 8-for-15 for 88 yards, and Shaun Suisham added a pair of field goals for the Redskins.
