2012 Kentucky Derby favorite: Bodemeister favorite to win The draw is in and the favorite to win the 2012 Kentucky Derby continues to be Bodemeister, this time with much shorter odds.

With just a few days until the start of the Run for the Roses, the 138th Kentucky Derby, Bodemeister remains the favorite horse to win the first leg of the Triple Crown. Those of you who has been keeping tabs on the Derby odds with us and took our recommendation to lock the betting odds on the 2012 Kentucky Derby early on would've enjoyed a bit bigger payout than the current one. As you can see, Union Rags and Gemologist continue to be neck to neck with the favorite Bodemeister, a trend which started a couple of weeks ago and hasn't changed much at all. If you don't like to bet the favorite at the 2012 Kentucky Derby, those two contenders could present a great way to make it out big. And again - the odds will very likely change, becoming short for the favorite and the top contenders, so lock them in early.
