Odds to win the
NFC 2007/2008 season - Cowboys and Packers atop
The latest betting odds on the
NFC teams to win the Championship, the Cowboys and the Packers
with best chances.
The updated odds on to win the NFC this season were posted
almost as soon as the Sunday games were over. With every expert
calling for the Pats - Cowboys Super Bowl game, we take no
chances, as sure many of you aren't wither. Of course, it comes
as no surprise that the Dallas Cowboys remain the favorite NFL
team to win the NFC, listed with odds -200 at the online betting
company
Bookmaker (official website). The Cowboys lost their
last regular season game against the Redskin, but no one could
blame them for having no motivation to win. Romo and company
remain the top choice of the bettors to win the NFC in the
2007-2008 season and unless flocks of bets come on other teams,
there will be little change in the line on the Cowboys,
especially when they have the NFC first-round playoff bye. The
second most likely team to win the NFC, the Green Bay Packers
are also looking to rest for a couple of weeks. The odds on the
Packers to win the NFC are currently sitting at +240, but could
get shortened a bit with their supporters wagering on the
nice-looking line.
If we assume that the betting odds are
reflection of the teams' chances to win, the rest of the NFC
football teams could very well clean their locker rooms for the
postseason. Following the Green Bay Packers, the next most
likely team to win the NFC Championship is the Seattle Seahwaks,
listed with betting odds +1500. The Seahawks will play the
Washington Redskins in the first round of the NFC playoff games.
The Redskins may be the hottest football team in the postseason,
but at Bookmaker they are also the underdog, the odds on the
Washington Redskins to win the NFC are at the low +3000, which
means that the bookie will pay 3,000 on every 100 bet on
Washington, if they make it to Phoenix. The New York Giants will
play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round on January 6th,
but neither team is looking good, as far as the NFC odds are
concerned. Well, they look great if you plan to make the wager,
the Giants odds to win the NFC Championship are listed as +2000
and the odds on the Buccaneers to win the NFC are sitting at
+1800.
Looking back at the odds to win the NFC,
published by the bookmakers before the start of the regular
season, one couldn't help by reminisce. The favorite team in
August of 2007 to win the NFC was the New Orleans Saints,
holding odds 11/2 at the online sportsbook
Bodog Sports. The
now-favorite Dallas Cowboys shared the second best odds with
many teams at 6/1 and the Green Bay Packers were a great bet at
16/1. The Seattle Seahawks also had 6/1 odds on winning the NFC
back then and the Washington Redskins were listed at 20/1. The
Tampa Bay Buccaneers were also underdog at 20/1 and the odds on
the New York Giants to win the NFC sat at 12/1.
