Oklahoma vs.
Kansas, Penn State vs. Michigan point spread
College football is still in full force this week with
plenty of games with questionable outcome and today we will
start our NCAA football point spread and lines preview with two
matchups bound to attract the bettors, Oklahoma Sooners vs.
Kansas Jayhawks and Penn State vs. Michigan. The No. 24 Kansas
(5-1) will welcome on Saturday the 25th ranked Oklahoma Sooners
(3-3), a battle the outcome of which will give the winner a lift
from the bottom of the college football rankings. On the same
day the Michigan Wolverines (5-2) will host the No. 13 Penn
State Nittany Lions (6-1) in Ann Arbor in hopes of getting back
in the 25, a place lost thanks to consecutive loses to Iowa and
rival Michigan State.
Unfortunately for the Wolverines' fans,
both the odds makers and the stats are against Michigan this
week. The last time Michigan welcomed Penn State in October of
last year, the Wolverines lost the game 46-17. And judging from
the latest spread and lines on this college football games, the
Michigan fans are up for another disappointment this weekend. At
the popular sports betting website
Bookmaker, the Michigan
Wolverines are underdog with odds +160, while Penn State will
come out in Ann Arbor as -190 favorite to win the college
football game. The Penn State vs. Michigan point spread
is currently set at -4 points chalk the Nittany Lions with the
total set by the odds maker at 47.5 points. Bettors should keep
in mind that Penn State is 3-7 against the spread in its last 10
games when playing Michigan and the total has gone UNDER in 4 of
Michigan's last 6 games when playing Penn State. At Michigan
running back Brandon Minor was upgraded to probable, well
recovered from ankle injury and only running back Carlos Brown
is listed as questionable, nursing concussion. At Penn State
running back Stephfon Green is also questionable for the Week 8
college football game, with linebacker Michael Mauti out for the
season.
Equally important Week 8 game is in
front of the Oklahoma Sooners, who have managed to deliver in
only half their games this season and on Saturday will have to
face the though Kansas Jayhawks at the Memorial Stadium in
Lawrence. Here the odds makers at
Bookmaker are much more
generous to the Sooners - Oklahoma, winning last year's matchup
with the Jayhawks 45-31, are holding the favorite -320 odds to
beat Kansas on the road, while the Kansas Jayhawks will come out
in front of home audience as big underdog with odds +270 on a
victory. The Oklahoma vs. Kansas point spread is
currently at -8 points chalk the Oklahoma Sooners and the total
expected by the bookmaker is listed as 55.5 points. It's worth
noting that Oklahoma is 6-1-1 against the spread in its last 8
games on the road and the total has gone OVER in 4 of Kansas's
last 5 games. A small advantage for the Jayhawks is the clean
injury list, while at Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford is out
for Week 8 with shoulder injury, defensive tackle DeMarcus
Granger is out indefinitely with back injury and both tight end
Jermaine Gresham and linebacker Tom Wort are out for the season
with knee injuries.
