Preview: Spread, odds and betting trends
The NFL games continue with
Week 2, we look at the point spread, betting odds and trends on
the major football games.
Another
exiting football weekend is upon us, Sunday NFL games promise

controversial game - the San Diego Chargers (1-0) at the
New England Patriots (1-0) - all eyes will be on the

and the total is set at 40.5 by the odds maker. Betting trends
show that Dallas is 4-2 against the spread in its last 6 games
on the road and 2-5 SU in its last 7 games when playing the
Dolphins. The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Miami's last 5 games
at home.
The Buffalo Bills (0-1) have the
chance to make or break the bettor when they visit the
Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) on Sunday. Payout on the Bills is
+400 and the Steelers are favorite with odds -600 to win the
match-up on Sunday. The point spread favors the Pittsburgh
Steelers at -10 and the total is listed as 38 points. Buffalo is
0-5 against the spread in its last 5 games when playing the
Pittsburgh Steelers and the total has gone UNDER in 4 of
Buffalo's last 5 games when playing on the road against
Pittsburgh.

The bookmakers expect the San
Francisco 49ers (1-0) to lose the game at St. Louis
against the Rams (0-1). The 49ers are listed underdog with
odds +155 and the Rams are favorite to win with betting odds
-175 and -3 chalk on the spread. The total points expected are
44. Previous betting numbers show that San Francisco is 15-3-2
against the spread in its last 20 games when playing on the road
against St. Louis, but 1-7 SU in its last 8 games when playing
on the road against the Rams. The total has gone UNDER in 5 of
San Francisco 49ers last 7 games when playing the St. Louis
Rams.
Good betting football game will be the
match-up between the Minnesota Vikings (1-0) and the
Detroit Lions (1-0). The betting odds on the Lions are -170
and the Vikings are underdog at +150. The spread on the Vikings
- Lions game favors Detroit -3.5 points and the total is listed
at 42.5 points. The Minnesota Vikings are 4-1 ATS in its last 5
games when playing the Detroit Lions, but Minnesota is 5-0 SU in
its last 5 games against Detroit. The total has gone OVER in 10
of Minnesota's last 13 games when playing on the road against
the Detroit Lions.
