Missouri running
back Tony Temple out for the game with Oklahoma
The leading rusher for the
Missouri Tigers, Tony Temple, will not play in the Saturday game
against the Oklahoma Sooners.
Missouri's
(5-) Tony Temple, with 351 rushing yards, will miss the Saturday
game against the Oklahoma Sooners (5-1). Temple injured ankle
during the last week's win against Nebraska and coach Gary
Pinkel said earlier this week that Temple was "day to day". On
Friday it was announced that the rusher will miss the important
visit to Oklahoma. I has not been officially confirmed, but
Jimmy Jackson would likely take Temple's place on Saturday.
Missouri, who are currently ranked No.
17, dropped out of the Top 25 last year, when Tony Temple
injured left shoulder. Following the announcement that Temple
will miss the game, the betting site
Bookmaker lowered the odds on
the Tigers from +360 to +375 to win the game and Oklahoma now
holds -455 payout to win the game. The point spread on the
Missouri vs. Oklahoma spread was also changed to -12.5 points
chalk the Sooners.
