son Michael enters rehab
During an interview with Larry
King, Marie Osmond confirms her 16-year-old son Michael has
entered rehab.
Entertainer and "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Marie
Osmond confirmed during an interview with Larry King that her
son Michael has entered a rehabilitation facility. Osmond did
not elaborate on the reason or location of the rehab clinic, but
said in a statement later: "My son, Michael, is an amazing
young man, shown through his courage in facing his issues. As
his mother I couldn't be more proud of him. The press and public
have always been kind and gracious in the past, and I know they
will continue to respect our privacy during this time."
Michael is one of Marie Osmond's five adopted children, she also
has three kids from two marriages.
This year must be the worse for Marie
Osmond, who announced earlier that she and her second husband,
Brian Blosil, are divorcing in April, after 20 years of
marriage. Earlier this month her father, George Osmond, passed
away and she missed an episode of the hit show "Dancing with the
Stars", but remains in the race as one of the four remaining
couples. Marie Osmond is listed with odds 5/1 on winning
"Dancing with the Stars", according to the online odds maker
Bodog Sports.
