Dancing with the
Stars results in Jennie Garth voted off
The actress Jennie Garth was
eliminated on last nights results show of "Dancing with the
Stars" after a perfect 10.
Last
night was the results edition of the popular TV competition
"Dancing with the Stars" and the couple voted off was Jennie
Garth with pro partner Derek Hough. The show started with hosts
Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris announcing that Marie Osmond
with partner Jonathan Roberts were the first "safe" couple on
the results show. This came as a surprise to many, as Marie
Osmond was the underdog last night with odds on winning "Dancing
with the Stars" posted at 7/2 at the online odds maker
Bodog Sports. Then Bergeron
revealed that Melanie Brown and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were also
safe and it was down to Jennie Garth and the favorite Helio
Castroneves, but at this time it was almost certain that the
star to be eliminated would be the 90210 actress. Host Tom
Bergeron then told the audience that after combining the votes
from the public with the votes from the judges - Jennie
Garth was the one eliminated with the lowest score. "I have
self-confidence. My issue is performing in front of people, and
Derek brought that out in me. I had such a great time,"
Jennie Garth said after the final results were in.
Special guest last night on "Dancing
with the Stars" was Avril Lavigne, who sang her single "Hot" and
then “Complicated” from her debut album Let Go. Ironically the
judges selected Jennie Garth and Derek Hough to perform an
encore of their Cha Cha Cha.
Last night's "Dancing with the Stars"
was quite a shocker, after Jennie Garth and Derek Hough got
their first perfect score on Monday. Jennie was listed with odds
on winning at 4/1 by Bodog Sports and Marie Osmond could turn
out the be an upset for the bookies, who had her listed with
odds 21/2 just a few weeks back, meaning that the bookie would
pay out 21 for every 2 bet on Osmond, granted she wins Dancing
with the Stars. Helio Castroneves, however, remains the favorite
with odds 1/1 and Melanie Brown is right behind him at 2/1 on
winning the dance competition.
