Panthers will go
with Testaverde against the Saints
Carolina Panthers will use
quarterback Vinny Testaverde for the game against the New
Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Carolina
Panthers (4-6) head coach John Fox has made the decision and
will start veteran quarterback Vinny Testaverde in the Week 12
NFL game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. "We make
decisions based on who gives us the best chance...Right now we
think that's Vinny," coach Fox said on Wednesday. Testaverde
was signed late in the season to back-up David Carr, who was
filling in for Jake Delhomme, lost for the season with an elbow
injury. But Carr failed to prove himself on the field and even
though he is healthy, John Fox will go with 44-year-old
Testaverde in attempt to turn the Panthers fortune around. The
Saints, however, remain the favorite to win the game, at the
online sportsbook
Bodog Sports New Orleans is
listed -3 points against the spread for the game with Carolina.
