Akon faces
				charges in a fan-throwing incident
				Rapper Akon is facing criminal
charges after throwing a fan during a concert in June.

On Monday the R&B star Akon is scheduled to appear in
Fishkill Town Court, NY, on charges of endangering the welfare
of a minor and second-degree harassment, stemming from an
incident during a concert in June. Apparently, during his June
concert in New York, a fan insulted Akon, who asked the crowd to
point out the guy and a security guard picked out a 15-year-old
boy and brought him on stage. Akon allegedly then threw the fan
back into the crowd and the boy landed on another concert-goer,
Abby Rosa, causing her a concussion. Rosa later hired a lawyer
and filed papers against the singer. It is unknown if the boy
thrown from the stage had pressed any charges.
				 Akon's lawyer, Benjamin Brafman,
released statement reading: "Given the information that we
have reviewed to date, it does not appear to us that Akon was
involved in any criminal conduct whatsoever. We are prepared to
fully cooperate with any law enforcement agency that may be
investigating this incident. We are confident that after a
thorough investigation it will be apparent that no criminal
				prosecution of Akon is warranted."
