Odds on football
managers in England on the move
The online bookmakers have
adjusted and posted new odds on football management jobs.
With most former England football managers leaving the
position in controversial circumstances, bookmakers William Hill
are offering odds about what may befall new boss, Fabio Capello.
"We know he'll quit eventually. The chances are he won't go
of his own accord after being fantastically successful, but
probably after being depicted by some form of vegetable in the
tabloids" said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. Will Hill
offers 1/4 on Capello quitting the job after winning neither
2010 World Cup nor Euro 2012, 11/4 he will quit after winning
the World or the Euro tournament, 9/2 Fabio Capello quits in
2010 after disappointing World Cup result and 7/1 that he will
walk out on England before the World Cup to take a job with
Italian club.
Meanwhile, Lawrie Sanchez has been cut from
7/2 to 5/2 clear favourite by William Hill to be the next
Premier League manager this season to leave his job. And Hills
have lengthened former 7/2 joint favourite Gareth Southgate to
9/2 after Middlesbro won their second successive game. Allardyce
and Benitez are 5/1 third favourites, with Steve Coppell at 9/1
and Hills offer 13/2 that no more managers will leave this
season. Fulham are now 2/1 to be relegated.
