Giants fans
selling tickets to the Pats for the Saturday NFL game
With tickets for the Patriots
- Giants Saturday game going over $1,000, there is little
incentive for the NY Giants fans to watch the game.
The
Saturday game between the New England Patriots and the New York
Giants has become the most bet on event on the Internet, but
there is little excitement among the Giants fans to actually go
and watch the game. Locked on the fifth playoff spot, the New
York Giants are going to post-season football, but the battle
with the Pats on Saturday carries little to no meaning for the
average Giants fan. But the Patriots supporters do want to see
(if) their team go unbeaten this season and this dilemma is
turning into full-force capitalism. Now the Giants fans are
selling their tickets to the Patriots crowd, fetching over
$1,000 per ticket, some going as high as $1,600 for the Saturday
game. Most tickets are being offered on the auction website
eBay, over 700 tickets for the Patriots vs. Giants game there,
and a good number of tickets are also available at StubHub.
Of course, there is the usual crazy seller,
one is offering two tickets for the price of $210,000 (yes, your
read it right). Other than that, it's quite understandable that
the Giants fans don't feel compelled to sit in the cold and
watch the B-team play against the Patriots, while the Pats fans
cannot wait for the bragging rights that come with seeing 16-0
happening. However, if you a Patriots fan with little means, it
may be a better idea to save the money for Arizona. Black-market
prices for the Super Bowl 42 tickets are expected to easily
fetch over $10,000 apiece.
