The
Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Norm Chow was fired on
Tuesday, after spending three seasons with the football team, as
initially reported by ESPN. Despite reaching the playoffs for
the first time since 2003, Chow wasn't able to pump the
offensive line and the Titans struggled to put points on the
board, ranked 21st overall in total offense in the NFL. The
parting with Chow is not a surprise, Titans coach Jeff Fisher
said after failing in the playoffs, that Tennessee will focus on
improving the offense in the off-season.
"I appreciate all of the hard work and
contributions he made to the organization during his time here,
but I have decided to go in a different direction and will start
the process of finding a new offensive coordinator," was the
official statement by coach Fisher addressing Chow's departure
from the team. Local reports in Tennessee claim that Norm Chow
was unaware of Fisher's decision before Tuesday and expressed
disappointment with the team's management.
