JamesOn
Curry, 2007 draft by the Chicago Bulls, has been arrested in
Boise, Idaho on Thursday and charged with misdemeanor counts of
urinating in public and resisting arrest. According to the local
police, around 2:30am a police officer approached Curry, after
spotting the future NBA player urinating in an alley in front of a
local hotel. Corry resisted arrest and tried to enter the hotel
through a locked door, but was booked into the Ada County jail
on the misdemeanor charges. The 22 year-old Bulls guard posted
bail and was released shortly after the incident.
Corry was Chicago's second round selection
in 2007 and the 51st pick overall. He is currently with the
Bulls NBA Development League team, the Iowa Energy. In 2004,
while playing for the University of North Carolina, Curry was
charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and
deliver marijuana, two counts of sale and delivery of marijuana,
and two counts of sale, possession, and delivery of a controlled
substance on school grounds. The charges, to which Corry plead
guilty, led to termination of his scholarship with North
Carolina and completed three years probation. He finished his
college career with Oklahoma State, before drafted with the
Bulls last year.
