Barack Obama wins
South Carolina and Caroline Kennedy - the odds
Democratic presidential
candidate Barack Obama proves the odds makers right once again
with victory in South Carolina, lands a Kennedy endorsement.
More
and more people turn away from the cookie-cutter media and to
the odds makers for the latest prognosis in politics, especially
the presidential race and the state primaries and caucuses. Why
- because the people have spoken and once again, with the odds
makers help, we knew ahead of time that Barack Obama will win
the South Carolina Democratic primary. And indeed he did, by a
landslide, taking with him 55% of the participants' votes in the
Palmetto state and 25 from the 45 delegates available to the
Dems.
How did we know that? Simple, Barack Obama
was the undisputed favorite to win the South Carolina Democratic
primary at the online sportsbook
Bookmaker, with odds of -425,
followed by Hillary Clinton with odds +355. And on Saturday,
Barack Obama won 55% of the state, followed by Hillary Clinton
with only 27% and John Edwards with 18%. For comparison, the
odds makers had John McCain to win South Carolina's Republican
at -115, followed by Huckabee at +120. To read the article with
the odds on the South Carolina primaries, follow the links at
the bottom of the page. On thing is for sure - so far the odds
makers have been 100% right and this trend is likely to continue
- so forget about CNN, FOX, NBC and the rest - we got the real
scoop on the politics.
At the online sportsbook
Bodog Sports, however, Barack
Obama continues to be the underdog to Hillary Clinton to win the
Democratic nomination, with odds 3/2, compared to Clinton at
1/6. Obama also comes second with odds to win the 2008
Presidential Election of 4/1 and Hillary Clinton is still the
top contender for White House accommodation at 5/6. These odds
are likely to change slightly, after late tonight the news broke
that Caroline Kennedy, daughter of President John F. Kennedy
endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
"Over the years, I’ve been deeply moved by the people who’ve
told me they wished they could feel inspired and hopeful about
America the way people did when my father was president. This
sense is even more profound today. That is why I am supporting a
presidential candidate in the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama,"
read part of the Caroline Kennedy endorsement of Barack Obama.
As politics go, it's always good to have a Kennedy behind you
and odds on Obama will move slightly, keep your eyes open for
future updates.
