Katie Rees arrested for assaulting an officer

Miss Nevada Katie Rees was arrested for an assault on an officer, following a traffic stop.

According to reports, Katie Rees was arrested on Wednesday in Las Vegas, after she allegedly elbowed and kicked officers who pulled her over for a traffic violation. Rees was also driving on a suspended license. According to the Las Vegas police, Katie Rees is being held in the Clark County Detention Center on six misdemeanor charges, including resisting a police officer, driving with suspended license plates, driving on a suspended license and speeding.

Katie Rees lost her Miss Nevada crown and the chance to compete in Miss USA in December 2006, after racy photos of her were leaked all over the Internet. On the pictures in question, Katie Rees was kissing other women and exposing herself. She later gave the following statement addressing the racy photos: "We were just out being goofy girls and celebrating. We had a few drinks, which I don't condone, but we were just having a good time." Donald Trump, who is a co-owner of the beauty pageant, denied Rees' appeal for reinstatement last year.
