Cheltenham
Festival Day 2 races postponed due to high winds
The
second day of the Cheltenham Festival has been cancelled due to
high winds, but the Wednesday's race card will be allocated
through Thursday and Friday. High winds with gusts in the excess
of 50mph caused the cancellation of the Day 2 of the Cheltenham
Festival program and organizers were forced to call off the
day's racing on safety grounds.
There will be 10 races on
Thursday, and nine on Friday, with racing starting at 12:30 each
day. The Wednesday's feature race, the Queen Mother Champion
Chase, will now be run on Thursday along with the World Hurdle.
The 2008 Gold Cup race will still be held as scheduled on
Friday. You can find the latest odds on the Cheltenham Festival
races online at the U.K. licensed bookmaker
Bet365.
