2008 US Masters:
Tiger Woods on top, Phil Mickelson tenfold
Despite
the slight delay due to rain, the 72nd Masters is underway,
following the opening ceremonial drive down the first fairway by
golf-legend Arnold Palmer. And it comes as no surprise that
Tiger Woods is once again the ultimate favorite to win the US
Masters. Woods is currently listed with odds 1/1 to win the golf
tournament at the online bookmaker
Bodog Sports, the lowest
betting odds ever for a player at the outset of a major, paying
out even money to win his fifth Masters title.
But if the chance to double your money
seems too low for you, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and Padraig
Harrington offer the best chance to break the book. Phil
Mickelson is currently second on the betting sheets, listed with
odds 10/1 to win the 2008 US Masters, a bet many punters take on
the side as insurance if Tiger Woods somehow fails to deliver
this year. Vijay Singh would pay out on odds 18/1 and Padraig
Harrington is sitting on odds 25/1 to win the 2008 US Masters at
Bodog Sports.
