Dimitar Berbatov
to leave Tottenham agents says
Tottenham
Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov has given up on negotiating a
new contract with the football club, claims his agent Emil
Dantchev. According to Berbatov's agent, the talks between the
club and the Bulgarian striker are failing because Tottenham
cannot set an asking price for the Bulgarian striker that would
move the deal ahead. "His future will be decided in the next
couple of months. We have twice given up talks about Berbatov's
new contract and this is due to the fact that Tottenham are
unwilling to fix Berbatov's transfer price. He is 27-years old
and he needs to win trophies. It is time he was transferred to a
club that regularly plays in the Champions League. There are
seven to eight clubs in Europe interested and we know them
well," Dimitar Berbatov's agent was quoted.
This is not the first time Dantchev
provokes rumors of Berbatov leaving Tottenham. Dimitar Berbatov
has been linked with clubs such as Manchester United and Milan
ever since he arrived at White Hart Lane in July 2006 and the
latest comments by his agent indicate that the Bulgarian player
could be looking for a new home as soon as this summer.
