Kanye West and fiancée Alexis Phifer break off engagement Rapper Kanye West and his fiancée Alexis Phifer have split up, according to the latest reports. Sources for Peopl magazine claim that the couple is spending less and less time together which ultimately led to the decision to call it quits. "It's always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends. I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met" Alexis Phifer was quoted by People magazine.

This is not the first time reports for a split up between Kanye West and Alexis Phifer emerge. The couple dated on and off since 2002 and finally got engaged on the island of Capri in August 2006. But those rumors exploded after Alexis Phifer, who is a designer, was spotted walking the red carpet minus her huge engagement ring at an event in New York where her Ghita clothing line was featured. Representatives for West have not commented on the engagement break up yet.
