2008 NFL Draft: Time to start, top 10 picks and predictions The 2008 NFL Draft is here and it's time for the punter to place their bets on the top 10 picks. Keep in mind the start time of the draft has been moved from noon to 3:00 pm EST, and the third round has been pushed to the second day, which will now begin an hour earlier, at 10:00 am EST. Furthermore, the time limits for each day one selection have been reduced, from 15 minutes to ten for the first round and from ten minutes to seven in the second. The five-minute limit for all picks in rounds three through seven remains unchanged. So the NFL Draft will start on Saturday at 3:00pm EST, but worry none if you have missed the start - the online bookmaker BodogSports offers live betting throughout the entire Draft to bettors all over the world. But enough chit-chat, it's time to look at the predictions the odds makers and the bettors have made for the first 10 picks in the 2008 NFL Draft.

The odds makers have left the #1 pick - the Miami Dolphins, but Chris Long appears to be the most likely #2 pick from the NFL Draft for the St Louis Rams. Long is listed with the short odds (punt not intended) 1/2, followed by Glenn Dorsey at 33/20. Matt Ryan is the most likely pick of the Atlanta Falcons, #3 overall, with odds 20/21, followed by Glenn Dorsey at 5/6 and Chris Long with odds to be drafted by the Falcons with the third pick at 13/2. The #4 pick In the 2008 NFL Draft belongs to the Oakland Raiders and Darren McFadden is the most likely player to be snatched by the Raiders with odds 1/4. Glenn Dorsey at 6/1 and Chris Long at 20/1 follow McFadden in the bookie's predictions for the NFL Draft. The #5 pick in the NFL Draft will be used by the Kansas City Chiefs to get Ryan Clady, according to the odds makers, Clady is favorite to be drafted by the Chiefs with odds 9/4, followed by Branden Albert and Vernon Gholston.

But Vernon Gholston is the favorite to go with the New York Jets when it's their time to choose with the #6 pick in the NFL Draft. Darren McFadden and Matt Ryan follow, if available by that time. The New England Patriots come next with the #7 pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, most likely to go with Sedrick Ellis (5/4) or Branden Albert (4/1).
