According to MSNBC, the producers of American Idol, 19 Entertainment, want David Cook to be the winner, because he is more "manageable" than Archuleta. Citing an unnamed source, close to the Idol works, the news portal quotes the source "The producers are really hoping that David Cook wins. David Archuleta cannot be managed the way that 19 Entertainment wants to manage their winners." The producers of American Idol are those who sign the winners and deals with the recording agreements made within the Sony-BMG. The fact that Archuleta has his own plan, including Archuleta's father, who is compared to Joe Simpson (father of Jessica Simpson) are among the reasons the American Idol sees David Archuleta "unfit" for the winner of the season. This scandal is not yet fully developed, but it does have plenty of strength right before the finale, considering the source of the rumor. The odds makers still have Cook as favorite, but the judges on Tuesday night clearly showed they lean towards Archuleta.
