Oprah Winfrey leads Forbes Celebrity 100 List

Oprah Winfrey leads Forbes Celebrity 100 List Oprah Winfrey has done it again - she is the No.1 on Forbes magazine annual Celebrity list for second straight year. The list's ranking is determined by a number of factors, most influential being the earnings and media coverage (divided into Internet, TV/Radio and Press), combined giving the "Power Rank" of the celebrity. And in 2008 Forbes is once again naming Oprah Winfrey as the most influential celebrity, thanks to her $275 million in earnings and, of course, the media empire she has created. World's No.1 golf player, Tiger Woods, came second on the Forbes Celebrity list, with $115 million, making him the highest-earning athlete in the world, but mostly thanks to his No.1 "Press Rank". Woods is currently competing in the ongoing U.S. Open. Third overall was actress Angelina Jolie, who despite the $14 million (73rd pay rank overall), was the leader of the Internet searches and blogs. Forbes also speculates that photos of her twins should fetch the highest price ever for baby snaps. Here are the top 10 who made it to the Forbes Celebrity 100 List: 1 Oprah Winfrey; 2. Tiger Woods; 3. Angelina Jolie; 4. Beyonce Knowles; 5. David Beckham; 6. Johnny Depp; 7. Jay-Z ; 8. The Police; 9. J.K. Rowling and 10. Brad Pitt.

Looking at the list, arranged by the individual factors used, J.K. Rowling (No.9 overall) is the leader in "Pay Rank" with $300 million; Angelina Jolie (No.3 overall) is the leader in Internet hits; Tiger Woods (No.2 overall) is the celebrity with the most press coverage and Oprah Winfrey (No.1 overall) is the most mentioned celebrity on TV.
