Marcus Vick
arrested for DUI, eluding in Va
Marcus Vick, brother of infamous Falcon Michael Vick, is
definitely staying true to the family name. The ex-Dolphin was
arrested early today and has been charged with driving under the
influence and eluding police. According to the police, Markus
Vick was approached by a police on a bicycle in the early hours
on Friday, after the cop spotted the former Virginia Tech
quarterback arguing with a woman in a car. When the officer
approached the vehicle and asked for ID, Marcus Vick allegedly
took off, but was pulled over minutes later. After failing a
sobriety test, the younger Vick was charged with DUI, eluding
police (misdemeanor), reckless driving and driving on a
suspended license. The woman in Vick's car, Delicia Cordon of
Miami, Fla, was charged with public intoxication.
The pr football career of Marcus Vick is
far less glamorous than his brother Vick. Marcus was a
quarterback for the VA Tech and joined the Miami Dolphins in
2006 as free agent, after Virginia Tech announced his permanent
dismissal from its football program "due to a cumulative effect
of legal infractions and unsportsmanlike play". While playing
with the Hokies, Marcus Vick managed to pile up nine traffic
offenses, as well as convictions for possession of marijuana and
contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Marcus Vick is
currently a free agent, after being dropped by the Dolphins last
year.
