Canada's Caesars
Windsor casino offering toll-free border crossing Sunday
Tough
times require tough measures and the Caesar Windsor casino in
Ontario, Canada, is offering toll-free border crossing for
Windsor-bound vehicles on Sunday, in order to attract more
players. As reported, Caesars Windsor (formerly known as Windsor
Casino) in Ontario, Canada, will pick up the tab for 4,000
passenger vehicles from 3pm until 8pm on Sunday at the
Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. The regular cost for a passenger vehicle
to cross the U.S.-Canada border is $3.75. The casino's promotion
excludes trucks and buses. The toll promo is part of the
grand-opening of the Caesar Windsor, after the 3-year upgrade
and expansion, which cost the gambling company $430 million.
According to estimates, about 80% of the Canadian casino's
profit is expected to be made by American gamblers.
