Station Casinos president Lorenzo Fertitta resigns to work with UFC The president of Station Casinos, Lorenzo Fertitta, has stepped down to work full-time with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), he announced on Wednesday. Lorenzo Fertitta will remain vice chairman of the family-owned casino company and his brother, Frank Fertitta III, will take over the role of president. Lorenzo Fertitta will assume the role as Chairman and CEO of "Zuffa," the company that operates UFC, in which the Fertitta family owns a stake. Zuffa LLC was founded in January 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada to be the new parent entity behind the Ultimate Fighting Championship by Station Casinos executives Frank Fertitta III and Lorenzo Fertitta, after they purchased the UFC from Semaphore Entertainment Group.

Station Casinos Inc. (private) owns and operates several casinos under the "Station Casinos" umbrella - Palace Station, Boulder Station, Texas Station, Sunset Station, Santa Fe Station, Red Rock Resort Spa and Casino and Green Valley Ranch 50% joint venture with Greenspun Corporation. Station Casinos Inc also owns the following Fiesta casinos - Fiesta Rancho, Fiesta Henderson, Wildfire Casino, Wild Wild West, Gold Rush, Magic Star, Lake Mead Lounge and Barley's (also 50% joint venture with Greenspun Corporation). The company also operates the Thunder Valley Casino.
