Tom Celani gets Nevada casino license
The person who helped bring
casinos to Detroit, have been awarded a license to run a casino
in Nevada. The casino is called Cal-Neva and is located on Lake
Tahoe. After being awarded the license in December, Celamni, who
previously owned MotorCity Casino, is scheduled to take over the
new casino today, and is supposed to invest over $35 million in
it. Celani will lease the casino from its current owner, Namwest
LLC, for an undisclosed amount.
This is Celani's first gambling license in Nevada, although he
has held more than twenty licenses all over the country in the
past.
Cal-Nave has been owned by Frank Sinatra during the early 1960's
for a short time before. During that time the casino was a
hangout place of choice for the famous Rat Pack.
