Brett Favre
comeback: Maybe, but not with the Packers
Yet
another twist in the story football fans may be getting tired of
- the Brett Favre comeback. According to the AP, quoting excerpt
from Fox News show "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" the
retired Green Bay Packers quarterback is contemplating a
comeback but not with the Packers. Brett Favre told Great Van
Susteren that he understands the team wants to move one,
following his March retirement announcement, but in that case -
they should let him go. "Them [Green Bay Packers] moving on
does not bother me. It doesn't. I totally understand that. By me
retiring March 3rd, I knew that could possibly happen. All I was
saying is, you know, I'm thinking about playing again,"
Favre was quoted. Packers general manager Ted Thompson and coach
Mike McCarthy wouldn't discuss the possibility of trading Favre
and said they hadn't received any trade inquiries as of
Saturday.
