Cotto vs.
Margarito odds on the fight updated
Just
hours away from the start of the highly anticipated fight Cotto
vs. Margarito and the odds have been updated once again. The two
boxer weighted last night, both hitting the 147 pounds, in
preparations for the fight today. Miguel Cotto (32-0, 26 KOs) is
looking to retain his World Boxing Association title, while
Antonio Margarito (36-5, 26 KOs) will do his best to take it
away from the Puerto Rican. "If you put one Puerto Rican
boxer in front of a Mexican boxer, you're going to have a good
fight. It's great to be a part of this rivalry, to have the
opportunity to have another chapter of this rivalry, to put this
fight at the same level as others from the past," Cotto was
quoted, although boxing fans need no extra encouragement to
order the Cotto vs. Margarito fight on HBO's pay-per-view.
As we reported earlier, Miguel Cotto is
the favorite to win the fight tonight at the online sportsbook
BodogSports, although there is
a chance in the odds offered. At the bookie Cotto opened with
odd -265, but thanks to heavy betting on the Puerto Rico native,
the odds makers had to adjust the lines and now Miguel Cotto is
-285 favorite to win. The heavy betting action on Cotto also
resulted in lengthening the odds on Margarito, who is now
underdog with odds +225, down from previously +205. Betting on
the Cotto vs. Margarito fight will be available until the last
second at
BodogSports.
