NY Jets at Miami, Kansas City at New England - odds and point spread We continue our NFL preview of the Week 1 football games with the matchups NY Jets @ Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs @ New England Patriots. Beginning with the Jets visiting the Dolphins, naturally the top story of this game is Brett Favre, latest reports indicate that he is set to play in the Week 1 game. Favre, however, may get less support than he expected -  NY Jets wide receiver David Clowney is out for Week 1 with shoulder injury, while both wide receivers Laveranues Coles and Marcus Henry remain questionable for the game against the Dolphins. CBs David Barrett and Justin Miller are also listed as questionable, while only CB Michael Lehan is uncertain for Miami.

 But let's get to the real deal - the odds and point spread on the NY Jets at Miami game from NFL Week 1. The point spread on the NY Jets at Miami Dolphins game is sitting at -3 points chalk the Jets at both bookmakers, which have also agreed on 36 points total. The odds on the Chiefs-Patriots game at Bookmaker are favoring New England -1600, while Kansas City is underdog with odds to win the game at long +1050 (at press time BetED had no money line on the game). The point spread on the Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots game is favoring the Patriots -15 points at Bookmaker, while the point spread on the game at BetED is -16.5 points chalk the Pats. Bookmaker is expecting a total of 44 points, BetEd has the total at 44.5 points. Betting trends on these two NFL teams show that Kansas City is 2-4 against the spread in its last 6 games and has lost all of the last five games. Meanwhile New England is 0-5 against the spread in its last 5 games, 18-1 SU in its last 19 games and the total has gone UNDER in 6 of New England's last 7 games.
