Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys: Odds and spread

In our previous review of this week's football we looked at the game with the tightest odds and spread (see link at bottom) and now it's time to look at the Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys, the game with the biggest odds and the largest point spread. The Washington Redskins (2-1) managed so far to keep a winning record, but on Sunday will travel to Texas to face what is arguably the best NFL team so far - the Dallas Cowboys (3-0), who had little trouble holding on to a perfect record so far.

Naturally the odds makers are far from generous to the Redskins, at the online sportsbook Bookmaker, Washington is one of the top underdogs by odds, listed at +400 to win the game on Sunday, while Cowboys fans would "enjoy" a -500 payout on their bets. The Redskins vs. Cowboys point spread is currently sitting at -11 points chalk the Cowboys with the total expected by the odds makers currently at 46.5 points. Betting trends from previous meetings between these two football teams show that Washington is 5-1 against the spread in its last 6 games when playing Dallas and the Cowboys are 2-6 against the spread in its last 8 games.

Injuries are present in both NFL teams, the Washington Redskins have listed defensive end Jason Taylor as out for Week 4 with calf injury, wide receiver Malcolm Kelly missed Thursday practice, while wide receiver Fred Smoot, running back Mike Sellers and LB Marcus Washington all did a limited practice yesterday. At Dallas RB Deon Anderson and DT Tank Johnson missed practice with the Cowboys yesterday, but WR Sam Hurd, LB Anthony Spencer, safety Pat Watkins and TE Jason Witten all did a full practice on Thursday.
