Indianapolis Colts
vs. Green Bay Packers: Point spread and odds
Week 7 of NFL football is closing in on us and it's time
to look at the odds and spread, starting with the most bet on
game this week - the match-up Indianapolis Colts vs. Green Bay
Packers. Two teams with great expectations entering this NFL
season, but both of them showing great inconsistency so far. The
Indianapolis Colts (3-2) had a bad start, losing 2 of their
first three games this season and the Green Bay Packers are
sitting on an unenviable 3-3 record so far, but atop of the NFC
North, sharing the same record with the Bears and the Vikings.
It's definitely going to be a though
football game this Sunday, but the odds makers have already
picked their favorite. At the online sportsbook
Bookmaker, the
Indianapolis Colts hold slightly shorter odds at -130 to win the
game, while the Packers will come out on home field as underdogs
with odds +150 on victory. At the same betting website the
Indianapolis Colts vs. Green Bay Packers point spread is
currently sitting at -2 points chalk the Colts with the total
posted at 47 points. Keep in mind that betting trends show the
Indianapolis is 2-5 against the spread in its last 7 games, but
5-1 against the spread in its last 6 games when playing the
Packers. At the same time the total has gone OVER in 4 of Green
Bay's last 6 games when playing Indianapolis.
Injuries could be the decisive factor in
this Week 7 NFL game. The Indianapolis Colts, holding the NFL
worst rushing at 69.4 points on average per game, could come out
Sunday without running back Joseph Addai, who missed Wednesday
practice with hamstring injury. But he is not alone,
Indianapolis wide receiver Roy Hall, cornerback Kelvin Hayden,
safety Bob Sanders, tight end Gijon Robinson, plus defensive
ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis all were absent from
Wednesday practice, although the DEs was not injury related. But
the Packers have little to cheer about - defensive ends Jason
Hunter and Mike Montgomery, cornerbacks Patrick Lee and Charles
Woodson, as well as DT Ryan Pickett missed Wednesday practice,
while CB Al Harris, wide receiver James Jones and Green Bay's
quarterback Aaron Rodgers did a limited practice.
