Denver Broncos vs.
New England Patriots point spread and odds
NFL Week 7 turned out to be the most awful football week
this season for bettors and for many of them the Monday night
football game Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots is the
last chance to steer this week into positive territory. The New
England Patriots (3-2) have been struggling to find the right
tempo after star quarterback Tom Brady was sidelined for the
season with knee injury and on Monday will welcome the Denver
Broncos (4-2), who lost last week against the Jaguars and will
look for victory only to cement their top AFC West standing over
the Chargers.
The odds on the Monday night football
game, however favor the Patriots slightly, although bettors
disagree. At the online sportsbook
Bookmaker, the New England
Patriots are -145 odds favorite to win the Monday night football
game, while the Denver Broncos will come out on Gillette Stadium
underdog with odds +125 on victory tonight. The Denver
Broncos vs. New England point spread is currently posted at
-3 points chalk the Pats with the total expected by the bookie
sitting at 48.5 points. Keep in mind, however, that according to
the sportsbook, most bettors are siding with the Broncos,
expecting another football game this week to go against the
bookmakers, making the Denver Broncos the No.1 bet on team this
week with the sports betting website. And looking at the betting
trends on the two teams, Denver is 0-4-1 against the spread in
its last 5 games and 1-5 against the spread in its last 6 games
on the road, although New England is 1-5 against the spread in
its last 6 games when playing the Broncos.
The Patriots also seem to be affected
more by their injured players - New England has listed running
backs LaMont Jordan and Laurence Maroney, wide receiver Kelley
Washington cornerback Jonathan Wilhite, linebacker Eric
Alexander and defensive end Jarvis Green all as doubtful for the
Monday night football game. Meanwhile at Denver only defensive
tackle Josh Shaw is out for Week 7; TE Tony Scheffler, wide
receiver Brandon Stokley plus running backs Ryan Torain and
Selvin Young remained questionable for tonight's football game,
and the rest of the injuries in the Broncos team have been
upgraded to probable.
