New England
Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins point spread at -1
NFL Week 12 is underway and today we will take a quick
look at the point spread and betting odds offered on the New
England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins game. If someone told me
last year that the Dolphins (6-4) will have the same record as
the Patriots (6-4) or vice versa, I would have laughed. And if
that same person told me that the Miami Dolphins will beat the
New England Patriots, I would have been making calls to the
nearest mental institution, trying to commit that guy. But
that's football for you - the Dolphins already whopped the
Patriots 38-13 in September and will meet again tonight to give
it one more shot.
So what do the odds makers think of the
Patriots vs. Dolphins matchup on Sunday? Well, the sportsbook
Bookmaker still has New England as favorite to win the game,
although barely, at -115, while the odds on Miami to repeat
their success from earlier this year are at -105. The New
England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins point spread is currently at
only -1 point chalk the Patriots with the total expected by the
odds makers with the sportsbook at 50 points. With such a large
total and small point spread, it's obvious the odds makers are
looking forward to an all-out battle between the Patriots and
the Dolphins, bettors, however, tend to disagree. The Patriots
vs. Dolphins game is the most bet on even with Bookmaker, the
vast majority betting on the Patriots covering the spread
tonight.
Keep in mind that New England is 5-11
against the spread in its last 16 games and the total has gone
UNDER in 4 of New England's last 6 games when playing on the
road against Miami. The Dolphins, however, are 7-3 against the
spread in their last 10 games when playing at home against
Patriots. Also, Miami has won 14 of the last 19 games when
playing at home against New England.
